Rat
Welcome Capegirl! We were on the QM2 Dec 20, 2004 14 night Christmas/New Year's cruise. Great cruise, among the best for us. Santa Claus came on Xmas day and passed out cool presents to all the kids. They had the New Year's Eve parties at the Queen's Room, G22 disco and aft pool. Can I answer some of your questions? capegirl
Thank you for that Rat! What is the country ratio passengers on board? You will enjoy the Baltics, went there a couple of years ago on Adonia P & O.
Rat
Capegirl, During welcome aboard show, the Captain introduced their own German, Spanish and Japanese hosts. Also mentioned was there were over 500 British cruisers on board. There were also many from other countries in Europe and South America. It seemed that the ship was at least half filled with non Americans. Highlights of our sailing included the tandem cruising with the QE2, fireworks show in Curacao, the excellent service in the Brittannia restaurant, the cruise director and cruise hostess Amanda Reid. Hope this all helps.

Rat
Hi, when we booked the QM2 last year, we also read many negative reviews for the earlier sailings. But there was a reshuffle of the crew and management and we experienced probably our best cruise to date. Our itinerary was 14 nights Caribbean roundtrip from Ft Lauderdale. Ports were Tortola, St Thomas, St Kitts, Bonaire, Curacao, Barbados, Martinique and Dominica.
