Our TA checks for us. On our last cruise, when the final payment came due, it was reduced by about $1,000.00. We don't expect that on our next cruise, as it is already a little lower than the last one. It's also one day shorter.

I check occasionally. Checked last week on the RCI board for upcoming Brilliance and Adventure cruises. Very surprised. On Brilliance a lower category balcony, an E1, was $200 more pp than we paid for the two of us! There were no D1's available. On Adventure the saving was not as large, $300 pp more, but when you book for six, it's a large chunk of change. We usually book over a year ahead and I've never seen a price reduction.

It seems to me that the TA you have is more concerned about their commission than your welfare. I have stopped using brick & mortar TA's for that reason and book all my trips online. Sorry TA's who are members or read these postings. I have only found a few that I would deal with again. Their are some good ones but let the buyer beware.

We do the same as jtutak most of the time. We book when we can get a really great deal. We have a few agents that we've booked all our cruises through and whoever can give us the best price,we use. Then we don't bother to check for a price drop cause we're always happy with our deal or we don't book it.

In the past, we did book cruises for Xmas week and spring break week and paid more than we wanted to but with the kids, we had to cruise when theywere off from school. Lately, though, we've wanted to do the 3 days just for r&r and we can do that anytime since daughter only misses Friday from school.

LIving 45 minutes from the port makes it very enticing to do the 3 day cruises several times a year.
