So here are the choices: Onboard Expense Information * Required Information I would like to pay for my Onboard Expenses with a credit card. I would like to pay for my Onboard Expenses with cash. ???? I will not be setting up an Onboard Expense Account. Thanks
sailingrose
Under you DH and yourself option 1. For the kids option 2. You will be required to put cash on the account at the pier or at Guest Relations when you board. You can add to it at anytime but don't put more then you think they will need on it. You can check the balance on the TV set in the kids room.

jbond
Your onboard credit will show up on your account at the beginning of your cruise. As sailingrose stated, you can check your account on the TV in your stateroom. It usually takes a few hours before the system is up and running. Charges are deducted from the onboard credit until you have a "real" charge. Everyone who has an account will show a separate balance, except for the card holder who will reflect the total overall charge. Don't ask me what happens to your onboard credit if you don't spend it, it's never happened to us. We usually check the balance on a regular basis, that way we don't have to struggle through several pages on the last morning veryfying everthing. We have found a couple of errors, both were double charges for wine. No problem getting it fixed at the purser's desk.

jtutak
Sometimes they don't add the on-board credit until near the end of the cruise. If you don't use the on-board credit you usually loose it, never a problem with me. Also usually you cannot use it for the Casino. One of the funniest things on a cruise is watching all the people in shock when the get pages & pages of their final bill.
