Formal Night Attire

... in the dining room that is!

I'm just curious what others wear. DW has her two "formal night" outfits that she takes along for every cruise. I think she figures "what the heck, we'll never see any of these people again and these are nice outfits".

I do much the same by wearing my tux (bought for a real deal on ebay)

The only problem is that all our photos taken on formal night look the same.

I say thats a problem but its really not if I think "why buy more, they all look the same"

What do YOU do? What are YOUR feelings on this?

Hello,

I doubt this will turn into a heated flame of a debate here, because people here have CLASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT......i have never worn a tux for formal night......nor a suit......A jacket, yes........i even have worn black jeans.......and boots......

I WON'T go to the casual buffet for dinner that night, nor will i stay in my cabin and get room service......

I WON'T adhere to the ..when in Rome do as the Romans do philosophy....

No matter how much...and be ready for a nasty debate......don't tell me about class and references to...when going to a movie do you take your own popcorn and soda line......there isn't a line i haven't heard..lol....or are there some new ones???????

Anyways...i do not disrespect people in public verbally and am polite and even hold doors open for the ladies...if they don't say thank you, i say very loudly....YOUR WELCOME.......

Anyways, i will pretty much do whatever i want on a cruise, because guess what????????????????

It's my cruise and i will do whatever i want, eat and drink whatever i want, spend whatever i want........

AND one more thing.......i am sure, without a doubt...there will be chairs at the pool when i get there.....available.........

I have a tux and a white dinner jacket, a champagne and a charcoal vest. I mix and match for a different look each night.

My wife loves to dress for dinner every night and has special dresses for formal night when she gets to wear the jewelry I've bought for her over the years on cruises. Saphires some nights and rubies on others.

We purchase a few formal portraits each cruise.

We bought a suit for my dh to wear...not a dark one, more a lighter grey...and I wore a black satin dress with a black cover jacket...

Our next one we will wear the same thing..lol...and the kids will also be dressed for the evening, dress pants, shirt and tie for my son..and the girls, 1 in a dress and other in something she likes but dressy enough for the evening..

I wear the one tux that I own. My wife has several dresses that she choses from. Luckily for her, we go to enough affairs that she MUST buy a new dress for, so she gets to wear something "new" on our cruises. That way the pictures don't always look the same.
