cruisinmama
I just got an email from a Cruise lady who said her son & daughter were on the Explorer and had the rooms next door to where we will be..and the noise from the Promonade drove them crazy.. So I looked up and sure enough of all the cabins left on the ship...those are all left..now I know why.. So I did find an aft cabin..and its really aft....9690..but the kids will be down the hall at 9671..instead of right across the hall...so should I switch??? plus I may just cancel the other booking and call Travelocity myself.. Your thoughts, I'd be so grateful..
JoeyandDavid
Ann, IMHO only you can answer that question, Only you know whether or not your kids need to be right across the hall from you and hubby. I don’t think there is a correct answer to the question, However I do believe it’s more important for the answer allows YOU to feel comfortable. Take Charge today because yesterday is too late

sailingrose
Oh my Ann not again!!!!! Are you talking an aft balcony cabin??? If it is grab it!!!! The balconies are huge! You can have lounge chairs on your balcony!!!! If you think your kids will be fine then book them down the hall. Just speak to the cabin steward (in case they have a different one) and tell them they are yours and if they have any problems to let you know. In the past, the cabin stewards watched out for my kids and always seemed to know if they were in the cabin or if they had just passed them. (Not too friendly mind you!) hamster92256
The padded cabins are on crew level, they have a door that you can see through, I think it is called the Brig. And sometimes they will give you paper PJs

hamster92256
That should be your new mantra "Don't worry, it will be fine"
hazelson
"Don't worry it will, it will be fine" Repeat every five minutes for as long as it takes. I'm sorry to hear you are getting such a run around - it does take some of the "bloom off the rose" so to speak. But I am sure it will all work out - if not just hop on a plane and spend a week or so out here in Beautiful British Columbia with us - we have a rather nice guest room and the dogs don't mind sharing the bed as long as you don't snore louder than they do lol.
