Golfette
We're a group of 10 & doing Personal Choice Dining for the 1st time on our 1st Princess Cruise on the Sapphire Princess on 10/15 to Mexican Riviera. I've heard on other cruise sites that we should make advance reservations for dining for each nite as soon as we get on ship. Now I'm hearing that we can only make then one night at a time AND that we probably can't make them around 6:30 - 7:00 when we want to eat, but have to make them before 6 or after 8! This is exactly why we avoided Traditional Dining because we didn't want to eat at those times! The Princess brochures and literature all say "...now you can eat when you want...", but apparently that is not true. Any answers or suggestions???? TheSkipper
I am afraid you already know the answer. Yes, make your reservations as soon as you get aboard. I don't know how this is going to work with a group of 10. The hours you mentioned are the busy times and if you just show up you will spend time waiting for a table or tables, count on it!
sailingrose
From our experience on the Caribbean Princess you can make reservations for 6:30. They wouldn't take 7:00 reservations the first night for some reason but did for each subsequent night for us. We were only 2 so I'm not sure how that will work for a larger group. Make your reservations first thing when you get aboard. They will do it for the whole week if you like. Also some green$$$$ will always help you along if you have any issues. Good luck and happy sailing.
