gogetter
Hello, I had read somewhere else that you could call Carnival beofre the cruise and request a table for 2. 1...........Is that true? 2...........If you can request early or late, then why not a table? 3...........If you went with a group of people, can someone cross reference all booking numbers to get everyone seated together? I called Carnival and this lady told me NO to requesting the table for 2. Is she correct? I am afraid that if i wait until the cruise and go talk to the Maitred it will be too late..is that a concern ???? Thanks for your help CRAZIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shari2
I haven't been on Carnival for awhile, gogetter, but you can do any of this on other cruise lines, I would think that you can on Carnival, too! Maybe they want you to go through your travel agent. Usually you request the size of table with them. I would check with your travel agent and have them request it for you. Tut
When we booked our cruise, I requested a table for two. I called a few weeks ago to check on it and was told that I'd have to check with the Maitre'd after we board. So, I guess you can request it but it's not guarenteed that you'll get it. I don't know the answer to the other two questions. Sorry. Only 8 more days!!!
GottaCruz
gogetter, On our last Carnival cruise, I saw many tables of two - in booths. I can't see why you wouldn't be able to get that. Let us know what happens. Good luck., Harry.

KarenUK
Hi Gogetter, As far as I am aware we can only put in requests for small or large tables when we are doing our bookings with carnival over here. What I did find was that I had been put on late sitting and went to see the Maitre'd and he changed it and gave us a table for 4 between the 3 of us, in the early sitting, and he did it whilst we were there so they do seem to try to be as helpful as possible so if worst comes to worst I am sure they will try to sort it out onboard.
Mebert
Hi gogetter, We have always had a table for two because my traveling companion has special needs. We usually make the request through our TA who sends us a special request form. We sometimes have a group table indicated on our Sign and Sail card, but the Maitre d' always has the special request at his desk and is most accommodating. Lisa63
Gogetter, did you use a TA for the booking? If so, s/he may be able to help. I've found that cruise lines won't talk to booked pax directly if a TA was used. If all else fails, make the dining room your first stop to check your table assignment. If it's not what you want, then go to the maitre d to have it changed. You might have to change dining times, though. To answer your question about cross-referencing booking numbers to ensure a group sits together -- yes, that can be done, and often is. We are doing that right now, actually. Our cousins are joining us on Infinity, and they used a different TA than we did. Our TAs are taking care of it. All they asked for was the booking number of the other party, and it should be all set. We've done this before with no problems.
