Ocho Rios Beaches

We get to Ocho Rios at 9 in the morning and leave at 5 in the afternoon.

We want a maximum beach/water day!

I have googled to death, and have seen web page after web page about Jamaican beaches. I need real information! So Crazies this is what We are looking for. A nice beach that has facilities and near fun little restaurants. A place where we wont be hassled by street merchants.

First is there such a place where you may use the beach at no charge?

(understanding that they would charge for lounges / mats and umbrellas..etc)

Secondly, which beach would you suggest ?

Most of the nicer beaches are those developed for the hotels and resorts, and are private. However there's a reall nice beach not far from Ochie, James Bond Beach. It's near Ian Fleming’s former home, Goldeneye. The beach is open daily and admission is charged. In addition to the beach, they have Wave Runners, helicopter tours and horseback rides. There’s also a beach bar and grill. There's a small admission charge, but I don't remember how much. I'm sure it was under $10.00.....
