Do you pack 1/2 and 1/2?

I've read many people who Cruise pack some of each other clothes in each other luggage..do you do that??

I've read horror stories of lost luggage ..but what would you pick to pack in the other luggage??

IN our family David is in charge of packing... he lays out all the outfits separated into day time frames and activity, I walk thru go yes yes no .. he correct puts each outfit together with all accessories, underclothes, handkerchiefs socks etc. puts each in a separate bag labels the bag then in the suitcase..

So Joey, do you carry some of his things in your luggage? and him yours? or you still have just carry your own??

We don't necessarily pack 1/2 and 1/2 but we do a form of it. We put one set of daytime clothes, one set of evening clothes, a bathing suit and an extra t-shirt in each others bag. Just enough incase something happens. We also spread some of our daughters clothes in our suitcases too.

we have one set of luggage, stuff goes where it fits...LOL after all it's all going to the same place :grin: (hopefully)

We use a garment bag and a suitcase. We also pack where it fits.

We always pack 1/2 & 1/2 just in case. we have been fortunate not to have lost a baggage to date but you know the one time you dont spend that few minutes longer making sure both cases have each persons essentials that will be the time one goes missing!! :wink:

For the three of us, we usually have one large suitcase and three smaller ones. We check all but one of the smaller suitcases.

Each bag is packed in thirds -- in other words, no one has any claim to one bag. The one we carry on will contain the clothing that would be hard to replace during the cruise, such as my son's suit. For the others, I put outfits together, and distribute them among the bags.

:wink: :wink: I don't know about anyone else, but there is no 1/2 & 1/2 in our packing. More like 3/4 &1/4. I need 1 suitcase, my dw who I LOVE needs at least 2. If she runs out of room she squeezes more into mine. It's all good though because the end result is we go on a cruise. :cool: :cool:
