timecop
Has anyone taken an Orient Express trip, if so, how was your experience?
DaCruzNut
I traveled on the Orient Express about two years ago. The problem was that, one hour after I got off the train, I wanted to get back on again
timecop
What destination did you go to? I received a brochure in the mail last night and there are a lot of choices - Europe, Asia, Africa, Peru, and Bora Bora. :undecided:

Shari2
Hi timecop! I've never been on the Orient Express, but it's something that I've always dreamt about. I'd like to tour Europe on the Express. If you get the chance to go, I would sure do it. It would be a once in a lifetime experience, I think! timecop
Hi Shari: I have a cruise planned for 2006, but I will definitely consider it for 2007.
Mebert
Hi timecop, Welcome to Cruise Crazies! Did they happen to list any prices for any leg of the Orient Express or for the entire journey? I understand that you are talking about the Orient Express that covers Europe and Asia. I have heard of an American Orient Express that travels from Utah and goes to Yellowstone Park, the Grand Tetons and then down to the Grand Canyon. Maybe that's the one DaCruzNut is writing about. That also sounds exciting. Please give us a little more information on your Orient Express.
timecop
Hi Mebert: Yes, I was talking about the one that covers Europe and Asia. Here is what is listed: London or Paris to Venice – 2 days - $3,465 (return) Paris, Venice, Budapest, Bucharest, Istanbul – 6 days – Cabin Suite ($8,055) Venice, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Paris, London – 8 days – the prices are broken up in segments – Venice to Vienna - $1,070; Venice to Prague - $1,460, Prague to Paris - $1,825, Prague to London- $2,215 Bangkok to Singapore – 3 days – from $1,730 to $3,510 Bangkok to Chiang Mai – 3 days – from $1,360 to $2,780 Highlights of Scotland – 5 days - $5,195 London, Edinburgh, Chester, Bath – 7 days - $5,370 After reviewing the brochure I was disappointed with the number of days for each trip. I was thinking more of a leisurely trip through Europe for about 10-15 days.
