Costa Maya??

Hi Everyone

Need your ideas or thoughts for Costa Maya...

Anyone been to Costa Maya? We are undecided what to do..the long Ruins tours are out .

We thought maybe Jungle Beach or the Crocodile Park..??

we were not sure but I'll assume the water will be warm enough in Dec for the kids to enjoy the water??? We are doing the Stingray tour the day b/4 so they will be in the water for that part...

Anyone have any thoughts???

Ann we did the long ruins tour when we were there, actually planned most of the cruise around seeing ruins, and it was worth it. What a fantastic place. Any specifics on the tour itself just ask!!!

Nothing to offer but open to any and all suggestions. We will be visiting Costa Maya for the first time on our cruise next September. (guess I have plenty of time to find out all about the place.)

We loved the Jungle Beach. It was a fantastic day. Would go back in a heart beat and we have been to a lot of beaches. :cool:

The Skipper - Can you give me a little more info about Jungle beach? Sounds like a great day. How far from the cruise dock is it and what do they have there in the way of beach chairs, food and facilities.

Thanks Ann - I will check the shore excursions with RC. I usually wait til we get a little closer to our sailing date but I guess you can never be too early.

Mary Lou,

It is about a half hour ride on an air conditioned bus (new buses). The beach facilities are great with tons of beach lounges. Sun or shade, your choice. Great staff. Drinks were included in the trip, and as I recall so was lunch.

Probably the nicest beach we have visited in all of Mexico.

You can search Costa Maya, they have a web site. Or, at least they did when we were planning our trip. There is also a beach right where you get off the ship, a small shopping plaza with local entertainment and even a swimming pool. The development of this area is coming along nicely. They were building housing for employees when we were there. :cool:
