cruisinmama
What is a sky suite?? How is it diff from Suites listed on many Cruise lines? Is a Jr. Suite and a others just diff by size or it extras you get too? Thanks
JoeyandDavid
Ann, The best I could tell the sky suite is no more than the standard Category 1 verandah stateroom. The linen is an up grade and customer service is a step above. Other than that it is nothing more. In-cabin dinning complete with linen. Something we loved at breakfast time. Evening hor’dourves and cocktails as we dressed for the evening.. we just enjoyed the spoiling. For example we had the same type of cabin on HAL with no butler but with the linen upgrades and they called it a SS suite… But to get added Service you would have to be in an S Category stateroom (One up from SS Class) Sky Suite is to Celebrity as is S Category is to Hal. Concierge is to Celebrity as is SS Category is to HAL The rest stays pretty much the same.. I am sorry I couldn’t put it into other cruise lines scenarios, but we have really only done the 2 brands, (except for our first 4 nighter with Carnival.. and we don’t count that one) Does that help or confuse!? DaCruzNut
When I was on the ship, I had the Sky Suite. It's exactly the same as the Verandah Stateroom, and the space for the balcony is actually taken from the cabin square footage, so the cabin is smaller than a Verandah Stateroom!
