Mebert
Do you remember "I've fallen and I can't get up?" For some reason that used to really annoy me because it was such a poor acting job. Another one is the Clapper. You know the one with the clap-on clap-off light. There was a political campaign where the candidate kept saying "It's your money" in a very neurotic way. I didn't vote for him for that very reason. BTW, he lost the election. There are others but I really have to think about it.
hazelson
I hate the ones where people actually can't get their videos back to the store on time - they are tied to the video store hours and never get to actually watch them - idiots! Also the ones - along the same line - were Mom is virtually tied to her laundry machines day in and day out - egads - load it up, push a button and walk away - how hard is that - beats scrubbing tidy whities on rocks in the creek!!! My favourite - the Telus ad - "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" absolutely love it - makes me smile every time it comes on - now the Humane Society is having a prolblem with using the Hippo from the local zoo in the add - egads!! I also love the one from Carnival where they wrap up a cruiseship for Christmas - don't know why - hmm! ttfn Jennifer
Mebert
There's one where this young girl asks an Italian man for directions and she doesn't seem to understand what he is saying so he offers to take her to his destination on his motor scooter. After she's zipped off there is a caption that said she lied. She speaks Italian fluently. I think it's a bad message to send to single women traveling alone. DaCruzNut
There are, actually, a couple... One is for a real estate company. A couple has just sold their house, and the wife says, "We sold our house in three days, and we got more than we were asking..." Right! I can just see it... Seller: We're asking $300,000.. Buyer: Oh, no; it's wortha lot more. Will you take $350,00? Seller: No way!! That's much too much. How about $310,000? Buyer: Are you kidding? That would be stealing it! I'll give you 330,000, and not a penny less... Seller: $315,000, and that's my last offer... Buyer: Final bid, $325,000. Seller: Deal! Right! Wanna buy a bridge in Brooklyn? ......................................................................... The second is seen on several commercials for prescription drugs. At the end of the commercial, an announcer comes on and says something, to the effect of, "Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, or shrotness of breath, or..." ar, sometmes, "Tell your doctor what medications you're taking...." HE'S YOUR DOCTOR! He should know these things! He's the one who diagnosis your illnesses and writes your prescriptions....

Dougdoug...oh it drives me crazy..lol The clapper also drvies me nuts.. They have one now showing this lady teaching these new parents how to diaper a baby, change its diaper and then putting on a crash helmet...it is promoting a new video game ...I think its kind of crude.. Dan
Actually, houses selling more than asking are pretty common around here lately. If you live in a desireable area, with a nice house (not talking mansions here), people commonly get into bidding wars. When we sold our last house in 2002, we got our asking price before the sign went up. We debated seeing if we could play the game, but since we wanted to firm up on our new house, we took that deal. As for annoying commercials, I don't know who it's for, but it's the one aimed at the "everyday" woman who isn't a model. They are showing off their jelly butts and flabby thighs. I much prefer to see Victoria's Secret models on TV LOL. Not sure how the woman who this is aimed at feels though LOL.
JoeyandDavid
I hate any commerical that has a price of 19.95 (plus s&h)
Lisa63
There are two that bug me, and both are for cars. In one, the car is being driven underwater while the kids in the back ooh and aah over the pretty fish they see outside the windows. The car then comes ashore, with the caption "not intended for underwater use." The other shows a man leaving his house in a business suit, he kisses his wife goodbye, and walks off a cliff, parachute opens, and he walks to his car. Yeah, how realistic is that...
