Jason
Chasbos has submitted her review of her recent cruise aboard Carnival's Inspiration earlier this month. Thanks for the review chasbos! The cruise sailed to the Western Caribbean. Be sure to check out this review!
JoeyandDavid
WOW chasbos I am floored at your review of the Inspiration.. I do know what you mean though.. Glad you enjoyed the golf. Celebrity offers golf simulators too! In addition, the food is good! But on a serious note.. Sorry it wasn’t up to your standards. But thanks for your take on the Inspiration
Mebert
chasbos, I'm really sorry that the Carnival Inspiration did not meet with your expectations. Carnival has to do some work if they are going to use the older ships. I say that because I have been able to thoroughly enjoy every Carnival Cruise I have taken, even on some of the older ships like the Fantasy and the Fascination. I was thinking of taking the Inspiration out of Tampa this Summer. Thanks for your warning.
lilrosie
I am sorry to hear that the Inspiration was not up to Par for you..We were on it in April of this year..And had great service..the rooms were exceptionally clean and the Waiters went out of their way to help us...The cruise Director had Ongoing activities and of course there is Always the Casino that we did our Donation to..We had a Great Time..The Inspiration is a older ship, but the Crew was Always cleaning and Polishing Her while we were on it..I actually took pictures of a guy cleaning the outside windows..lol dunno why..just did...I guess we were just happy to be on a cruise
KarenUK
Chasbos, thanks for taking the time to post the review. I have heard some similar things of some of Carnival's older ships and am sorry it wasn't a fabulous experience & glad it hasn't put you off cruising. I must just say though, like hotel groups - you cant compare a 20 year old 4 star resort with a brand new 4 star superior as it is a totally different experience. The Miracle also sailed from Tampa & although the port isn't the best we didn't have much trouble embarking & the Miracle was a very nice ship. I think sticking to the newer ships may suit you more in future and hopefully provide the service you expect & deserve???
divey259
Thanks for the review Chasbos. My husband and I sailed on the Inspiration in December 2004. The ship did show her age, but thankfully the service was very good. I found the menu in the dining room to be good. With more than one choice, I was sure to find something I liked, and it's a good chance to try something new. We were disappointed with the entertainment. For them to advertise themselves as the "Fun Ships", we never once had live music at the pool area, and had to hit every night spot to find any kind of night life. We pretty much had to make our own. Due to an unexpected accident to a crew member, we didn't get to travel to Grand Cayman and had to go to another port in Mexico so that the injured person could get hospital care. We were disappointed about the change in itinerary, but over a year has passed, and we know accidents do happen. It was our third cruise and the first on Carnival and we're not in any hurry to cruise with them again.
