Celebrity Zenith to Bermuda?

We've just gotten an email from a cruise discounter offering Bermuda trips on the Celebrity Zenith from $740 inside (forget it, instant claustrophobia), $830 outside. We sailed on the Horizon, Zenith's sister ship, and enjoyed it; but that was in what was called a suite.

What do you think, Crazies? Should we jump on the offer?

We'd also like to discuss whether the cruise agency is worth dealing with, or whether the offer is likely to be a Con. Can we discuss that on this board? On another crise board, discussion of specific TAs is strictly Verboten.

It does sound quite good & is defo one of the cruises I wish to do. I would probably ring around a couple of well know Cruise Travel Specialists & advise them of what you have been offered & see if they can match it (or what their best price would be) if none of them come close then I would worry but if they are similar prices then it may just be an offer that Celebrity have done that the particular agent you have heard from is advertising?

Hope you do get a good offer & get it booked :grin:

Joe,

We have done the Zenith three times including her inaugral sailing, and the Horizon twice, so we know the ships pretty well. One of our trips was a week out of NYC (back when the twin towers were still standing) to Bermuda for a week.

But, Joey is right, we need more details.

This would be a standard one week Bermuda trip on the Zenith from Bayonne (Cape Liberty) to Bermuda, with 4 days in Bermuda split between Hamilton and St. George. The dates would be either May 6 or May 13. The savings over the Celebrity web site seem to be between $60 and $100 per person.

Does the offer include port charges, taxes and insurance?

The offer included port charges but not taxes or insurance.

By the time the discounter got back to us, their price was the same as the cruise line's. No bargain. However, another discounter came through with the prices of the original discounter, so we booked it. I believe we have concierge class on the 5/13 cruise. (Joan booked it while I, Joe, was at work). I'll put in a post, and put it on the calendar, when I have details.
