Size of Ships

I want to see the fare list to sail on one of those mega mega ships.

Well, Joey, it's not unanimous any more. If 1 in 10 cruisers wants to try the ship, that will keep it full.

Mebert, I don't know if you were the "no" vote , but you seem to have sailed on larger ships than us. (We haven't yet been on one with as many as 1,500 PAX.) For us, the Regal Empress, which we were on in 2002, was about the largest ship on which we'd like to sail. However, the cruise lines aren't giving us much choice as to size, which is why we'll be on the Noordam (1,918 PAX) in November.

Our first cruise was on Majesty and all the venues were nice.

Enchantment before the stretch was a nice size ship.

Once on the Voyager we liked walking down the promenade however,

trying to find a table in the Windjammer was a joke. I think 2500 on a ship

is good. We ended up eating in the pool area. Many have said you just got there when everyone else did. And the point is... The lines went quickly but noone budged out of there seats.

So I will agree that 70- 80 tons is the perfect size.

But then again I really do enjoy my 18 footer. 8 person cap

And I still have a hard time finding my way around the smaller ships. (And that's after going on the same ship over and over) :huh:

:smiley: I'd like to try the larger ship. More people, more parties, more room to roam and see the sights. 5400 pax might be to much, but I'd like to give it a shot. :cool:

Joey, I'm sure you've noticed that, since the poll was 9-0 against the new ship, Crazies have been signing in at about 50-50 (4 yes too big, 4 no, 1 no opinion). I may think that 2,000 is too large, and won't even try Princess or Royal Carib. for that reason; but plenty of people like the big ships. Chacun a son gout!
