fraidofwater
Could anyone help me on what to pack warmth-wise for a crossing in mid-May? Thanks.

Joanandjoe
Welcome, 'fraid. We do have general packing lists: see the tab labeled "packing list" on the right, near the top of the CC banner. Other than that, we'd need to know your gender, the length of the trip, the start and end of the trip, and what you'll do afterwards. Obviously a man crossing from NYC to London, then going on to northern Europe, would need very different clothing than a woman crossing from Miami to the Mediterranean and spending a few days in Italy. Lisa63
In addition, which ship will you be upon? Some lines are less casual during the daytime than others.
fraidofwater
Thank you for your replies...mostly concerned about how cold is it on a transatlantic crossing in a month...I mean do I have to pack long underwear and coats? So in answer to your questions, my husband and I will be on HAL's Amsterdam May 9th thru 23rd from NYC to Newfoundland/GB/Amsterdam/Oslo/Copenhagen with excursions in all but the last, then flying home. GottaCruz
fraidofwater, Please feel free to post your cruise date to our Meeting Hall and our calendar if you haven't already done so.
Joanandjoe
That sounds like a wonderful trip, but not a warm one. Bring a small amount of light weight clothing, but assume that weather will mostly be in the 50s and 60s. You'll probably have four formal nights, so you should bring lots of very nice dresses or elegant pants suits, while your DH should bring at least one txu or dark suit, maybe two. Shari2
Hi fraidofwater... It might be a good idea to bring some clothing that you can layer, and then you can take off the outer blouse and have a tank top or more summery top underneath in case it's warm. Hope you have a wonderful trip! It sounds fantastic!
