JoeyandDavid
I have recently started the research for weather for our Mediterranean Cruise It appears that October and November is rainy season in that region.. the average day time high should be around 65 and an overnight low could be as low as 40. Ok here are my questions...for the ones that have visited Europe that time of year, is this sweatshirt and sweater weather or just shirt and coat weather… We are leaning toward more jeans and sweatshirt sweater options for excursions …any opinions on what onboard daytime temperatures / weather might be on sea days? Joanandjoe
A little bit of everything, Joey. On our Med. cruise in 11/04, weather during the 18 days in Europe included, among other things, 75 and sunny (so it felt even warmer) short sleeve shirt weather (in Nice), 42 and rainy in Palma, Majorca (we put on every layer of clothing we had), 55 and windy in Lisbon (glove weather for Joan), mistral wind and rain on the day we failed to land at our scheduled stop in Minorca (so we couldn't get up on deck to know what the temperature was), light jacket weather, heavy jacket weather, sweater weather, you name it. And we had much better weather than most: the day in Palma was the only land day with more than a few minutes of rain (about 20 minutes, but there had been a lot of rain overnight), and the general weather was warmer than normal. Think of it as East coast spring weather (but nothing below freezing), just as changeable.
KarenUK
Hi Joey, We were in Barcelona in November & wore short sleeved T-Shirts each day but have also had friends go at that time who said a few days were quite cool & had rain 1 day - I think if you take a few Sweatshirts & also a light rain coat just to be on the safe side? JoeyandDavid
That is on our pick up soon list........no need for gloves though correct?
Joanandjoe
You'll need gloves only if your hands get cold easily. Your itin. is probably warmer than ours was, and we had two glove days for Joan, none for me. Still, some people get cold hands when it's 50. If you do, bring very light weight gloves; otherwise, not needed.
