delbankin
Hi everybody, Our cruise is coming up fast - just a few weeks away now - Millenium from Barcelona to Venice 12 days duration. We wanted to know from anyone who has been on this cruise or similar 12 night Celebrity cruise how the formal/informal/casual nights are spread and when they fall during the cruise. Similarly we assume there is a captains dinner and would be keen to find out when that is during the cruise. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. Del. JoeyandDavid
Hi welcome to Cruise Crazies.. We are also scheduled to do this same Itinerary in October. Typically on a 12 night cruise there will be 3 formal nights 3 informal nights and 6 casual… It really is up to the Cruise Director to make the final call…. The first formal night is normally the 2nd night of the cruise which normally is the first sea day as to when they actual days lay out its difficult to say, I wish I could be more specific for you , however I just don’t know. I would rather give you an I don’t know then give you an answer that is WRONG!. I hope you will take the time to write a review of the voyage when you return. And if you would like to compare planning notes I stand ready! Once again Welcome to CruiseCrazies
Shari2
Hi Delbankin... Joey is correct in that the first formal night is usually the second night out. It was that way on both my 14-day Infinity cruises. I don't have the schedule for this cruise, so I don't know if the first sea day is the second night out or not. I went to Celebrity's site, but the board is closed for maintenance right now. I did hear from someone who is taking this cruise that she called Celebrity and asked the schedule for the formal nights for Venice to Barcelona and they told her it would be the two sea days and then Florence, but if you are leaving from Barcelona the third Formal night could be different. I haven't been on this Mediterranean cruise before so this is just what I heard from someone else. You could pretty much count on the two seas days, though, as being formal. Have a fantastic cruise!
