Good news - it doesn't get any better than a combination of a great cruise and a lower price!!!!

They are hoping to make it up in 3rd/4th fares. I couldn't beleive they were charging over $400 for 3rd/4th on a 5 day cruise whose 1st/2nd fares were only $549. I was thinking of breaking the kids on their first cruise when I'm off work in late June, but not at those prices.

I'm not a fan of the Caribbean anyway, so they'd have to give me a FREE trip before they could persuade me to go on a cruise during hurricane season.

I find it absolutely amazing that I pay about the same now as I did when I started cruising in to late 80's. The basic fares have not really risen at all.

However, what a jump I've seen in onboard revenue. Drinks used to be $1.50, or in the souvineer glass for $2.50. Photos averaged $3.00-$10 for the formals. And, the average shore excursion ran $25-$35....
