Yes - the strangest thing is we were the first couple up there to have our picture taken. Actually it was waaaay our best pic of the cruise - it also beats the same old backgrounds - you know most of us have dozens of cruise proffesional pics. This was unique.

What do you all think about - the time to embark? I'm sure those that haven't been to Barcelona are wanting to squeeze out every possible moment in this awesome city.

Talking of Barcelona.....you guys MUST go to the Boqueria market on Las Ramblas. The fresh foods etc are unbelievable, (you can start your olice oil collection here also your wine collection here :tongue: ). Also if you're tired and need a rest there are little tapas bars around the edge (inside) we sat and enjoyed the wine and tapas so much we didn't want to leave!!! Great vibe.

You know we do not own ONE picture taken by the cruiseline...

as far as embarkation... I was figuring 1 ish... I thought once we check in we could leave the ship again till 5 Millie sails at 7... am I right on this?

Yes Joey...you can leave the ship again, only one small hitch - nothing is really in walking distance. You'll have to pay 2 taxi fares - one into town and one back again. Why not board a little later and do everything you want to do in Barcelona before boarding?

Gosh-- I don't know how to answer your question, Joey! I guess I'd probably go with Dubrovnik, but that's a really hard choice to make!

I'm not sure what time we will board. I guess it sort of depends on how much site-seeing we get done the day before. The day we leave is Sunday-- does anyone know if the markets and other attractions will even be open?

I suspect that since check out time for our hotel at noon that we will head over to the ship at that time. Since we are arriving on the 26th, we will have more time than most in BCN. I think we will be ready to start our cruise at that point. Based on information from "the dark side" we should be able to board even though our documentation says 4 pm boarding. Muster is around 5:30 pm.

It would be really nice if Celebrity would open up pre boarding meaning ability to check in luggage starting the evening before we sail .. that way all we would have would be a small carry on.. and embarkation would be a breeze our luggage would probably beat US to the room..now thats customer service :wink:

Doubt if that would ever happen. They have all the luggage from the previous cruise to ours. Where would they store it? And, I certainly wouldn't want it stored on the dock.

Yeah It would require a separate room... but i really wouldn't think that many would take advantage...you know they would add a "storage" fee to it :grin:
