Way to Go!!!! Now that's a true "buddy".

I understand that RCI have gone through some awful press lately what with their Captain being "under the influence" and people partying hard and falling overboard - but what stops them from purchasing

Jackie it is my understanding that Celebrity/ RCCL will now "monitor" sail and sign accounts cards for excessive alcohol purchases... and will retain the right to suspend the ability to purchase alcohol on board for any passenger in the minds of the "powers that be" to be a threat to the safety of themselves and others.......

( ok this is where you slide off the box and I get on ... oh no .. did you hear that creaking.. i need to lose weight :grin: )

I guess the liability factor (insurance company lingo for if you want us to insure you you have to do a better job in monitoring your passenger alcohol intake is really taking its toll on the more sensible travlers...

As long as there have been rules there have been those who will insist on trying to break them.. why so few feel it is important to spoil things for many is and has always been beyond comprehention..(at least to me)

As you say Joey -- who get's blamed if something happens to a passenger on a cruise - the cruise company -- so I guess they want to do what they can and sometimes that may be too much for some and too little for others.

Been working a lot the past couple of days, so I'm catching up now. The best thing now after working a lot is that I am on VACATION until 8/20!!

Please think of my friend and traveling companion, Trish, today, as she is supposed to be flying to Orlando for a 3 day Bahamas cruise. Traveling today has to be a complete nightmare! I will fill you all in when I hear from her when she gets back. I am sure she will have some good suggestions for us-- especially if these carry-on restrictions continue!

Dinner: we are late seating. I hate eating late, and always opt for early, but I think when you consider the demands of this itinerary, it makes more sense. I am definitely not one to miss dinner!!

I definitely agree with you all about the balcony. I have always had a balcony and I do not have one this trip. Cost was a real issue for us this trip-- I probably would have spent the money, but Trish did not feel comfortable spending the extra $500 pp to upgrade. But then again, she has never cruised with a balcony (she actually wanted an inside cabin--I drew the line at that!), so she does not know what she is missing. Unfortunately, I do! :sad: I hope I do not miss it too much! I am telling myself that we got a great deal on an oceanview room and now there is more money for excursions.

ok so i can't brush my teeth... can't smell good... no lip gloss....i will have dry skin.....no makeup....my hair will be flat .....and i will be dry from no water....

OKOK i know what they want they all want to know what we look like first thing in the morning...

or do they want a rocky horror show on planes...

OK all kidding aside ... whatever needs to be done to keep us safe i will go by.... ( but my lip gloss ) :grin:

I sure hope Trish has no problems getting to the port on time.

That extra excursion money might be a good thing :grin:

our thougths are with Trish and everyone traveling by air today.

yes, i keep telling myself that the money we saved for not havinga balcony will go to excursions but I will definitely miss it. better no balcony, then no trip :wink:
