zebra
That was reported by our newscaster speaking from the Tampa international airport this morning. So far cell phones, cameras and laptops are still allowed - they have to be turned on and tested to see that they actually work. Oh my - can you imagine a vacation without a camera!!! Life is certainly changing for us, isn't it?

s73645
My how things have changed......fuel surcharges etc... preliminary results- To mail something weighing ~2.5 Kg from Nice, it is 12 euros To mail something weighing ~2.5 Kg from Italy, it is 52 euros( there is a disclaimer on this one) my Italian is not up to speed, so I may have checked a priority rate. I'll look into it a bit more. The ups rates were way crazy. I'm going to check DHL. It seems that an extra checked bag with foam or bubble wrap is in order. I'll put it together in a little more detail and get back with everyone.
zebra
Is anyone going to attempt to "ULTRA pack" a seperate checked bag with bottles in it? I really am tempted. We inquired about shipping stuff from Italy and also Greece and both prices given to us were outrageous - can't remember the numbers but they were awful - so no shipping for us!!!! momwig
Trader Joe's has great insulated shopping bags-- several would absolutely fit into a suitcase-- they are only a few dollars a piece
