We are taking the train into Florence, Rome, Herculeanium. We are getting around by metro in Barcelona, Rome and Athens.

Anyone buying their train tickets in advance?

I haven't decided. In Italy you can pick your tickets up at an automated kiosk.

Does anyone know, do we tip in US dollars or Euros? Just wondering because it will make a difference in how much US money I bring with me.

I just found out today that I may be bringing my Spanish guide with me to Barcelona. We are visiting a family friend in Madrid pre-cruise and he mentioned that he would like to go with us and spend the weekend in Barcelona as well. He says he has many friends in Barcelona, so I may be getting a more authentic visit to Barcelona than I planned. Should be pretty cool!
