zebra
Yes Gail, I used that product on one cruise but to be honest, wasn't that impressed, so I haven't bothered taking it since. To the Gals: I am reading a super novel "The House in Amalfi" by Elizabeth Adler - if you have time pick one up. It takes place on the Amalfi coast, Capri and also Rome - has brought back many many memories for me. It's a "chick's book"!

Cruisergal
Gail, I too have use that product. It works but so does hanging clothes in the bathroom for the steam treatment. One less thing to pack. Also, you can always ask the cabin attendant to get things pressed. I also use a lot of zip lock bags (extra large) to pack things and press out the air. Also putting clear cleaner bags over and between items help. With bags being subject to hand searches zip locks make it easier to repack a bag. I have a huge stack of bags I just keep reusing from trip to trip. For those of us flying in coach, do not forget to pack your eye mask and ear plugs. I am thinking of using my I-Pod to listen to soothing music and that will put me to sleep also. We have a new poster on the "other side" and I have asked them to join us here. Joey, great pictures. Thanks for the link. Still watching for the docs  Mary Ann

Cruisergal
Joey, I was told by my TA that the "document department" get the docs and processes them by the earliest travel date and we should get ours within 2-3 weeks before our travel date. Duh!! That is the time frame NOW. We will be away most of next week and I was hoping we got them before we leave. May have to get our neighbor to sign for them. Love2Travel
Joey.... yes the 44 lbs is a pain. All but two flights allow 2 bags /each- 50 lbs each bag but... the flight from Tel aviv to Barcelona is restricted to one 44lb bag each and the flight from Venice to Dublin has the same restrictions. We will do our best. We may end up paying extra. ( I have heard it is 5 euros per kg over limit on Aer lingus. Don't know about Air Europe- kind of steep  )We will see. Thinking of having our suit bag as a carry on. it is a trifold and pretty small when folded- should work. Would rather be able to chack it but if we can get by using it as a carryone, we will. ... just so we are not so limited. Thanks everyone for your experiences using the downy product. think i will just pass on bringing it. Well, just had an unexpected expense. Our hot water heater went on the fritz and leaked all over the basement. Yuk- what a mess. But it could have been worse and happened when we were gone. i am so glad i will have hot water tonight and will be able to take a shower. Always something. have good evening everyone.
