chachabell
I would say Villefranche. Dubrovnik is supposed to be the real "surprise" of this trip. Like Tallin, Estonia is on the Baltic cruise.
JoeyandDavid
wow I asked the question.. but i dont have an easy answer...I am somewhat in agreement with Tonia.. I would hate to miss any....but if I had to choose one..I think it would be Athens....although I am very much looking forward to seeing ancient greece of the ports of call that we will be visiting ... I could Live without Athens on this trip...( but not on the next one )
zebra
Hmmmmm...having done this itinerary before I would go with Tonia, Dubrovnik. It is beautiful to look at from the ship but was a huge disappointment to us, this time we view it as an additional day of leisure. I would definitely not miss Villefranche!!!! zebra
Another reply - about Athens. The Arcropolis and surrounding ruins are stunning, except when we went we couldn't get a decent photo, virtually the entire structure was covered in scaffolding for restoration!! So having been there I would agree with Joey about Athens. I'm sorry we're not going to Mykonos this time, we loved it!!
JoeyandDavid
is that complete?
momwig
I think I said this once before --- take me somewhere I can explore and I will be happy. So I will not even try to guess which port I will like the least. An ordinary place can become awsome when you meet wonderful people, taste something new or see something you've never seen before. Remember it's all in the eye of the beholder and everyone is different.
zebra
You know I have no idea if it's complete or not they said it was a few years project but don't know when they began. It truly is an awe inspiring building - and you know what, when we got up there after the long steep climb wheeew, there was the X photographer from onboard taking pictures of any cruiser that wanted their picture in front of the Acropolis - how cool is that? I didn't think they ventured further than the gangplank
