Still trying to decide if i want to check into a driver for florence /pisa or not...did some research from boards and found Tuscany by Taxi as a driver , and i asked Diane about hers.. she has more of a guide /driver, this would be just a driver..do speak english.. his charges were 320 for the day..which i though wasn't to bad ..Diane says hers starts out about the same but they do see a little more with the quide... i was just looking for something less structured....

Something to keep in mind concerning electricity. No problems on the ship but for those of us doing pre/post cruise stays. Europe uses 220v vs 110v in the US so you will need convertors and adaptors for your laptops and rechargeable batteries. Also not sure about Italy but Spain uses 50 Hz vs 60Hz. Lou said our laptop will work but it will take longer for batteries to charge.

My computer's staying at home :grin: :grin:

One day in Barcelona & 2 in Venice - I can handle it. Not worth the extra luggage I use the computers on board if I need to communicate with family.

I like it for the download ability of our.... music and entertainment....it helps when i write my review, and thank you notes to the staff, freeing up space on my digital cards..really its what I do to relax...i look forward playing with my lap top on the veranda watch the sun set... but thats just me

Us, too. Particularly downloading our pictures. Of course, email, too. I like to send the family short messages every couple of days and refuse to pay Celebrity for the privilege. My 91 yr old mother likes the comfort of hearing from us frequently. Yes, she uses email (a mailstation not a computer) Remember we are geeks! And, Lou carries the laptop! LOL

I have someone checking to see what is the absoulte earlist we can check baggage in... not physically chekin in but at least unload the luggage... (for some reason this has become important to me..LOL oh well

as they say if this is the only thing that has you bugged then it must be ok!
