For all those staying at Locanda Orseolo in Venice.... thought I'd charge you up a bit! Here's a review to read:

Okay, so let me start off by saying that I am a hotel snob. As a physician and a travel agent (yes a weird combo, but it works for me) I have been fortunate enough to stay in some of the nicest hotels around the world. I love a nice hotel, and am a real stickler for great service, attention to detail, and cleanliness in the hotels that I stay in. I also love to see that Ã¢â‚¬Å“extra touchÃ¢â‚¬Â that few hotels/inns seem to achieve nowadays.

Well, I have found perfection in Locanda Orseolo. Having read othersÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ reviews on Trip Advisor, I figured it was probably a decent place to stay, but never expected my experience to be beyond what any of the reviews promised (or what I cynically doubted could be true.) And I hate to gush, since I know this only means they will be more likely to be booked up during my next stay or when I go to book some of my clients, but I canÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t help but share what an incredible experience my friends and I had during our stay.

All the things you could want were here and rated A+

1. Location-how can you beat a canal front location that is only a block or so off St. MarkÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s square? You canÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t.

2. Incredibly warm, welcoming and English speaking owners and family working there that make you feel like you are visiting old friends. (and by the time you leave, they will be old friends!)

3. Made to order crepes as well as breakfast buffet! Cappuccinos! What more could you be looking for first thing in the A.M.?- Caffeine that is included in your room price-made fresh for you-without having to leave the hotel-a real deal!

4. Free internet access-and a computer to use in the lounge, for when you find the need to be aware of what is going on in the Ã¢â‚¬Å“real worldÃ¢â‚¬Â.

5. Totally cool window that you can leave through directly onto a water taxi! This makes for great photos and stories to share when you return back home (reluctantly) from your stay.

6. Perfect rooms, w/ everything you would need, slippers(I love hotel slippers) storage for everything- even in the smallest room, wonderful, unique dÃƒÂ©cor-each room has a mural painted on the wall along with the story of that particular painting. There are even satellite tvÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s (not that you will need tv as entertainment in Venice, but if you mustÃ¢â‚¬Â¦) and clean modern bathrooms.

I love this place and the people who run it. When I returned from my last trip, which was with my girl friends, I told my husband I wanted to take him back there just to stay at Locanda Orseolo and have him meet everyone.

Here is what I wrote during my stay in my travel journal:

"The hotel is amazing! I have never in my life experienced such incredible customer service -such a warm welcome- I don't think our friends or relatives even greet us as warmly as we were welcomed here. The rooms are great- clean, comfortable, modern tv and baths with cool painted walls, each room themed. Location is amazing- 2 minutes from St. Markes Square- 5 minutes walk to Rialto Bridge. I can't wait to refer other people here- this is like panning for gold and finding a huge nugget!"

So go ahead, book it, trust me, you wonÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t be disappointed- it really is as good as everyone says!

Jason protects not on his site but his members best he can..he has the site on ultra sensitive..lol.... with all the bots out there tracking email addresses it is to your advantage to break it up your email... so you dont get a bunch of extra spam

Yes, I certainly appreciate the security. None of us want spam, that's for sure. i use the yahoo address for posting because I want to eliminate the possiblity of spam coming to my home address.
