JoeyandDavid
Shore Excursions..... How much Money do you expect to spend while in ports of call.. Not so much as on the excursion if organized but in the communities with food and souvenirs and what ever... I am trying to gage whether or not I am even close in my projected budget.. I do realize that depending on port of call will undoubtedly influence that days total... Any thoughts? joey
outtoluncg
hi, it is susan here. i posted on the other site and after finally logging in ...i am posting. i typed my username incorrectly, but whatever. gail had asked me to tell a little about myself and husband. well we live in maryland and as diane mentioned we are a reasonable drive away from each other on the famous "beltway". we live in the olney/laytonsville area. we are in the army/navy outdoor, camping retail business, and we work together. it is a good thing because my hours are flexible, and i have been available for our two sons. my youngest just graduated high school, so now we have two children in college, yikes ! ah, are our ages really important, here? suffice it to say we are eternally youthful ! gail also asked if this was our first med cruise. yes it is. our second cruise on celebrity. we cruised alaska in july, 2000. i am not a cruiser (tend to feel motion and get queasy). i would rather fly somewhere and go explore. my husband wanted the relaxation of the cruise. so since we are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, we decided that we would compromise...fortunately we have learned to do that after 25 years ! and i hear the mediterranean waters are calm, and i will feel okay! (i was promised the same thing when we went to alaska-the inside passage waters are calm). and gail asked where we are staying in barcelona...hotel apsis atrium palace. would like to thank everyone for the friendly welcome and advice/suggestions/hints etc. enjoy your day
