In Santorini the dining room was open seating, and they also had a Greek Buffet Poolside. We opted for the Olympic Restaurant that night. Pre Cruise Get Together in Barcelona After an enjoyable few hours there, we hopped back on the bus back to Las Rambla in the hopes of finding a nice little cafe to enjoy a glass of wine. By total chance we found the La Villa Restaurant which is directly on Las Rambla across from the Le Meridien hotel. We sat outside and had a few glasses of very nice red wine. I spoke with the Manager, Luis to see if it would be possible for my group to have dinner there that night which he gratiously arranged. This man was the nicest guy! His english is not great but his warmth and willingness to please was without compare! He only charged us 8 Euro for 2 glasses of wine and 2 bottles of water. We returned later that night with the group of 14 and he gave us all complimentary Tapas before dinner, free sangria ( several pitchers) and presented us with platter after platter of desserts, again all on the house! The food was very good and reasonable at approximately 14 Euro per person for an entree. They have a varied menu and all ordered was excellent. Most had the seafood paella, which was presented tableside and served. We wanted for nothing and were treated like family. zebra
Welcome Susan & harvey - great to have you join our jolly group!!! Are you one and the same as the Suanne & Harvey on Joey's list???? They have different hotel details. I guess we must have 2 Harvey's in our group now. Spending in Europe. Hmmmm...... as little as possible, everything is pretty expensive and then with the poor US$ exchange  Also we're not the best to guage against having been to these ports before, we won't be spending as much as we did last year, hopefully! momwig
Susan We were originally staying at the Apsis Atrium Plaza but when it seemed that everyone on the CC Board was staying at the Continental Palacete we canceled and booked there -- a bit cheaper and there is free food and drink. Figured it was only a night or two how bad could it be. Harvey and Suanne were agreeable to the change too. Mentioned the similarities in the names to my friend Suanne last night and she was a bit amazed and is eager to meet you. Glad you began posting here - excitement is now building the cruise is getting closer. Kareen
JoeyandDavid
I believe they are a new couple that just happened to join the other roll call... Never the less .. I am glad they found their way to the "friendliest board" on the net... LOL (like how i squeezed in a commercial)
