Maryann.... i will have to tell Tom about my 4 1/2 lb trout....I got my pic taken at the lake i caught it at... the stinker broke my line and then he came back... I caught him on salmon roe...boy did he taste good on the BBQ.

Welcome Bruce and Suzzann.... yes we are planning a b4 cruise dinner just adv Joey of your hotel and i will let you know where and when ....look forward to meeting you...

Hey has anyone heard of St Paul de Vence at our port Villefranche ... they are suppose to have wonderful spice market.....and a nice area to walk like eze ... just a question.. maybe jackie will knowm this area

Tonia.... St Paul de Vence is in my opinion the BEST and most beautiful of all the places available to visit at ou Villefranche port of call. I would suggest it as a definite. We went to Monaco, Eze, St. P de V and Nice last time. Gorgeous art, linen & pottery stores (and many more) - it's an old walled city, extremely quaint. On our way out we grabbed chocolate & banana filled crepes to share with our buddies in our tour van...... yummmmmm!!!!

It was a little really overwhelming for me..I just post here cause its fun... and addictive....it's Like a virtual small home town...LOL... gossip ...party line telephones... :wink:

Yeah at least next week we will be in DDmode..

and then the serious planning..... the clothes..... :grin:

Personally I think i will be jeaning and sweatering everything.. except for night wear.. day time highs only in the high 50's to low 60"s

The pins are awesome! What a cool idea. I'm going to wear mine to work and use it to keep me motivated. Thanks mucho. Is there anything that I can do in the way of recompense?

Where is the spice market? We were thinking of hiking around the cape, but a walled city with a spice market will be hard to pass up.

We will be taking the train in to Florence and Rome. In Rome we will be getting around by metro, I love to ride around on that thing and you can get just about anywhere. I have to go to the Villa Borghese museum and stare at the Bernini sculptures, then go hang out in the ruins at the forum.

Naples: archeological museum and Pompeii, then house hunting in Sorrento.

Santorini: We are going to try to hike up to the edge of the caldera. (Is there a trail/steps all the way up?)

Athens: Parthenon, plaka and monstiriki(sp?) If time we will head down to Varkisa and check out my old apartment and have a meal at an oceanside sidewalk cafe.

Venice: the Titians Mic's church and spend alot of time wandering around lost (as usual). How can you get sooo lost on such a tiny island??

What is everyone else planning so far? Any overlap?

Man this post is long. I got carried away when my awesome pins arrived.

I'd best go book some overtime.
