The Ultimate Costa Rica Experience

This is a true Costa Rican Experience. Costa Rica is a small country with a lot to offer; 3% of the world's biodiversity, a 200 year old democracy, and The World's Finest Coffee. Coffee is said to be the foundation of Costa Rica's democracy, it flows in our system and fuels our customs and way of life.

You are invited to join a tour that takes it all in: nature, traditions, entertainment, history, and the famous, award winning Café Britt CoffeeTour. Ascending from the lowlands of the Pacific Coast to the highlands of the Central Valley, your professional guides will fascinate you with factual tidbits while providing plenty of clever humor to keep you smiling all the way. Climb in comfort aboard our luxury buses through forested roadways to the volcanic peaks and ‘coffee country’, arriving at the slopes of the now peacefully sleeping Barva volcano, home of Café Britt’s famous roasting facilities and CoffeeTour.

Here you will delight all your senses with the world famous tour depicting the journey of the World’s Greatest Coffee from plantation to cup. Now get ready for a feast of Costa Rica’s finest cuisine, prepared by the award winning chef J.J. Rodriguez. Finally, before heading back to the vessel, fill your basket at La Casita; Café Britt’s factory store and Costa Rica’s most assorted shopping destination.

Sneaking in here again.

Just wanted to mention something. When we travelled to the Panama Canal we were on a Princess ship which had one deck as a wraparound. Even though we had our own balcony someone else had given us this tip. On the early morning of the transit throught he canal try and find out onboard when time you'll be going under the Bridge of the America's. We went under just after sunrise. Tony and I went to the back of the ship (best) where you can see the entire bridge and watch as you sail under it.....we also found a staff member who took a photo of us with the bridge in the background. Awesome!!!

Aft cabin.....perfect!!!!!

We were going from San Fransico to Ft Lauderdale.

Just make sure you ask onboard what time they expect to go under the bridge. Don't ask the landlubbers they're clueless.

We always ask these questions at the pursers desk onboard - with each individual cruise the captain knows his exact schedule. One time also on Princess in Alaska we asked the pursers desk if they would wake us during the night if the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) appeared.... they did at 3:06am. It was wonderful and freezing out on deck!!
