Shari2
Watching all the great entertainment! Love the musicals and singers! I don't know if you call this an activity, but, I love the dining experience in the formal dining room in the evening. I'm always cooking for everyone else, so it's so special for me to be waited on for a change.
Suzila
I also enjoy the dining experience...trying new dishes. But I do like just sitting on deck, reading a book with no where to go...no schedule.
jbond
I'm with you on the dining experience. We enjoy the atmosphere and the presentation. Even if the food isn't that good, it always looks superb. I'm not a big sea day person. Just cruised on Island Princess to Hawaii. Five days out and five days back. I was getting really stir crazy by the end. I can fold napkins, carve fruit, make towel animals and all those other classes they give, but I'd much rather be on a beach or walking around a port. Mebert
I love the dining experience and the number of different dining options. I enjoy the entertainment when it's really good and I also enjoy exploring every single part of the ship. It's like touring a tiny city with shops, restaurants, bars, casinos and health clubs. One used to be able to say that there was not a long walk back to the hotel, but some of these ships are so huge that the usually is a long walk back to your room. I even enjoy that because I need it to work of the calories from a lifetime of eating on a one week cruise.
zebra
Food, Sauna and T Pool, oh yes!!!!! Tony's favorite is to head to the library the minute we get on board - to get a couple of the latest novels to read whilst lying on our balcony! Only problem, next cruise is Europe.....no time to lie on balcony although there are 2 sea days. Jbond this should suit you... no time to learn napkin folding on this cruise!!! jacketwatch
 Actually for the first time on our last cruise we took the opportunity to meet the captain and the navigator. This was  though I think it depends on their personalities. These two guys were pretty neat. In fact the Capt. told this funny story. He was pulling into NY harbor for the bicentennial celebration with the QE II I think and he had a little boo boo and bumped a Japanese warship moored for the same occasion which as it turned out was commanded by a full Adm. He was petrified about apologizing to him but went to do his duty. The Japanese Adm. said; "Its an honor to be kissed by a queen"
Lisa63
Favorite activity is one I cannot do at home -- sitting in a deck chair on the covered outdoor promenade deck, and enjoying reading, writing in my journal, or gazing at the sea/ocean.
