DaCruzNut
The only thing that would make me give up cruises is dying!
btate
Okay. . . After reading a few of the messages left in this topic, I am a bit surprised that some of the people here leave as many messages as they do and say that cruising is already becoming a thing of the past for them? I guess I am just not that picky? I admit that I have only been on one cruise, but I have a goal to always have one planned. . . I suppose I can't afford the fancy balconys and all that. . . but the food?! The chance to be where your cell phone doesn't ring! So many things that are nice. What a nice way to get away. For me, I would give up cruising when I no longer was able to have my mind excited about getting away and being spoiled. When I go to look at a trip with my wife and we both just sort of think that this isn't really that much fun. . I kind of think that when that happens, we will just move the cruise to the Greek Isles or some place not so familiar. . .
sailingrose
Sorry to say that cell phones now connect on most ships. YUCK! On the Adventure it was really at a minimum and I hope that trend continues. Jeff, I love your response...........
schatje
The very elderly are an inspiration to us as we are 55 & 59 and we see so many older couples still have fun dancing etc. I don't ever want to give up cruising and just want to sail into the sunset.
Shari2
I can't imagine giving up cruising now, but there were a couple of times that I did in the past. Once was when we had really rough seas and the ship was bouncing me around. One was the first time I felt really sea sick on my 8th cruise, another was when the ship we were on had some mechanical problems and our cruise was cut short by three days and we were put off in a foreign port and had a horrible ordeal with the cruiseline trying to get home. I must really be addicted, because I'm still cruising and dreaming of more cruises. lol
