Port Canaveral to Kennedy Space Center

I'm hoping some of the Florida group here can give me some idea of the distance from the port to the space center. Does anyone have any idea what a cab would cost? We will be there in September and DH would love to go to the space center. We can't decide on whether to go on a ships excursion or go off on our own.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

We never thought about it on our drive over but we'd guess less then 20 minutes by car.

Two years ago I went there, from the port we took the bus' provided by the line, which was great because we had a great tour, and a great driver, it wasn't very far at all! :grin:

It is only abouta twenty minutes to a half hour drive if that. We had planned on stopping for a few hours on our way home and wound up spending the entire day there. It is awesome

YOU CAN SEE THE SPACE CENTER FROM THE PORT IT IS ABOUT 25 MINUTES TO GET THERE . GO TO 528 WEST 4 MILES TO US1 NORTH AND 6 MILES TO SR50 GO EAST 4MILES AND THE CAPE IS RITE THERE. YOU WILL SEE A SPACE SHUTTLE ON YOUR RIGHT AND YOUR THERE.
