Hi their

I'm 27 and my friend is 25, both of us single and new to cruiseing

We are planning to go for a 21 day vacation to either Miami or Barcelona, both of them have a 7 day Royal Caribbean cruise (The freedom of the Seas & Voyager of the seas), however we are concern that these cruises are meant for older travellers and might be boring for travellers of our age group. To you recommend it for us or their are bette suggestions

I would all of your advise

Royal Caribbean has interests for people of all ages .. especially with the new on board activities thru out the line .. it is geared more toward the active young person... depending on what your interests are would really determine whether or not you and your Friend would be bored...

If you go to Europe.. then one way of looking at it is it's you hotel and restaurant all in one...

Good luck in your planning....maybe if you could post what your guys do so your not bored .. then maybe I or someone else here could help stir you in that direction!

Welcome and as Joey said we need to know more about you and your interests so we can steer you in the right direction. The cruise lines in general are not for the old anymore, they are gearing up for the next generation such as yourselves. I'm sure you will find something you like.

I think you'd be hardpressed to find a cruise on any of the big lines that doesn't have widespread age appeal. I was 26, my wife 25, when we took our honeymoon on Holland America. We had an awesome time, and in the 4 cruises since, 2 on Princess, 2 on Carnival, didn't really notice much of a difference in age ranges that we saw on HAL.

I should have added that those Royal Caribbean ships you mentioned have lots to do for people your age. The Freedom is brand new, is the largest cruise ship in the world, and has a few more new things going on that the Voyager doesn't have, but the Voyager is a destination unto itself also.

I'd suggest you pick the destination you want to go to...would you rather do Europe or the Caribbean? As long as you stick with a 7 day cruise, you'll be fine...lots to do for people your age.

It's when you get into the longer cruises that you sometimes get older people who are retired. We are now in our 50's and as much as we love to cruise, we still like to stick with a 7 day. We were on an 11 day Panama Canal cruise a number of years ago, and the average age was 70. As much as we enjoyed the itinerary, it was a looooong trip, being with older folks.

Hi magmag, Now that you have decided to cruise from Barcelona... you pretty much have to go on Itinerary.. Pick the one that you have dreamed about seeing the most; let me repeat the the one that you have dreamed about seeing the most I don't think you can go wrong following your dreams.

Good Luck
