KeithnRita
magmag Congratulations on choosing that first cruise. Be warned, however, it could become an addiction!

MrsAmanda7
My husband and I are 27. We went on our first cruise last year. Didn't know how we'd like it. Loved it! We like to hang out at the beach all day, and go to the nightclub on the ship at night. So far, I'm in love with Princess Cruise Lines. Lots of young people our age were on the ship. I hear Carnival also has lots of young people and tons of action. Right, Carnival lovers?
KimmyKat
Definitely! Our 21 year old daughter and 18 year old son absolutely LOVED our cruise (they loved the one when they were 16 and 19 too) on Carnival. The nightclub was open until 3 or 4 am and then practically the whole nightclub would make the trek up to 24 hour pizza/calzones/salads after dancing the night away. They also loved the daytime activities (when they hadn't been up until 4am) of tournaments such as basketball and volleyball. My son really loved the scavenger hunt things like the "The Great Race" and "Survivor"...couldn't get me to do "fear factor" though. haha. They had alot of activities as well as your usual fare of swimming, using the fun slide, gambling, spa/gym...etc.
hazelson
Magmag - welcome to crazies. I'm sure whatever cruise you choose (poetic ain't I lol) it will be wonderful. The basic tips are take a power strip to plug in all that stuff you don't even think about intill there's nowhere to plug it in - and take your sense of adventure!!!! Have fun!!! elfed
Welcome to our humble abode!! I'm a great believer in starting small and moving up. Donna and I started on the Carnival Imagination -a 70000 or so ship which held about 2500 people. After a few more smaller ships we found ourselves on the magnificent Carnival Valor at 110000 tons. We are now about to take our 11th cruise on the Caribbean Princess at 113000. Personally though, for a really good time, value for money, best shows and extremely roomy staterooms you cannot beat Carnival for a person of any age. If you can, promise yourself to take a New Years Cruise with Carnival-you'll never forget it! Regards, James.
