What do you do as soon as you get onboard?

I was wondering what everyone likes to do as soon as they board their cruise. Do you go and eat immediately (can't wait for that scrumptious buffet :grin: ) or do you unwind in your cabin/balcony....maybe check the layout of the ship?

When we board we do the following in this order:

1) Smile

2) Take our glass of Champagne (still smiling)

3) Drop off things in our stateroom (still smiling)

4) Confirm all on board Pre-arrangements (still smiling)

5) Stroll around the ship (still smiling)

6) Grab a Bon voyage cocktail (still smiling)

7) Attend muster drill (smile subsides a little)

8) Have a great cruise (still smiling)

9) Disembark (start to frown)

9) Remember the cruise ( start to smile again)

We grab a drink of the day, tour the ship, and find our dining table before we head to the buffet.

From a slightly different perspective. ;)

1) Breathe a sigh of relief. Those check in lines never get any shorter.

2) Glass of Champagne - it's only half full. How about another.

3) Find the room? Has it gone missing?

4) They had better have the pre arrangements done right. It's been over 6 months.

5) Walk about my domain for the next few days. Make sure all is in order.

6) Stop back downstairs and get another champagne or three. It's free.

7) Drag my life jacket up or down stairs. Trip on the belt.

8) Attempt to have a good time. Inflict myself on as many people as I can.

9) Disembark to try and locate the luggage in the maelstrom of people and bags.

10) Try to remember why I came.

We head to our cabin or the dining room to check on our table.

1. Go up to our cabin to drop off our carry-ons.

2. Give my wife a big hug and kiss and wish each other a great cruise.

3. Check out the cabin to see if everything is working correctly.

4. Get lunch.

5. Tour the ship.

6. Go to the Dining Room to scope out our table.

7. Go up on deck and get a drink.

8. Lifeboat drill.

9. Back up for another drink and sail-away. :grin:

i usually spend my 1st day on the spa. Have a body massage. It make me relax and enjoy my cruise.
