sailingrose
Thanks for the review! I have some questions.........(as you knew I would LOL) 1. What time did you get to the pier???? Trying to avoid as much mess as possible. Since we are staying 1 night pre-cruise somewhere in Manhattan we're trying to figure out when to head to the pier. 2. How crowded was the terrace pool? We're worried about lounge chairs since I've seen many reports of saved chairs as usual. I'll be sure to try the cookies since I'm addicted to RCI's. Thanks for the tips. I wouldn't complain about the $200 PP gift they gave you. Sorry you didn't get to Grand Turk but Princess really did a good job handling it. Thanks again! rogue
We got to the pier aroud 12:30. It was pretty hectic, but moved pretty well. WE were trying to get there about an hour earlier, but couldn't quite do it. The terrace pool was always very crowded. There isn't much cover back there at all. we always had trouble finding a lounge until the last day when it was a little rainy earlyier and it drove everyone away. Get up there early. We felt the same way about Princess. There was virtually nobody complaining about missing the port after we received the notice about the $200. You will not be disappointed with these cookies. I was on RCI last year, and I agree that their cookies are good, but IMHO these top them. Let me know what you think after you taste them. Please ask any and all questions you want.

TheSkipper
Great review. We will be sailing for nine days aboard the Crown on Sept. 30th so were interested in all your comments. Did the do the Movies under the Stars thing?? This will be our 20th Princess cruise, so I think we know what to expect, but a new ship is always exciting. Again, thanks for your review. rogue
Skipper, To be honest, we only saw a little of the MUTS. None of the movies were really aimed at my taste. Also, the timing of the movies was not good for us. We had late seating in the traditional dining room, and by the time we got done, the movie would have been half over. We usually opted to go to the show in the Princess theater. We did see a movie there one afternoon, and the uniqueness of it was great. I think if they had the right movies, we would have tried it. Everyone we talked to who tried it, loved it.

rogue
Thanks all for the nice words. Just as an aside, the cruise was for 9 days and not 7. It was supposed to be 4 ports, and 4 sea days, and we ended up with 3 ports and 5 sea days. After missing Grand Turks, I guess we'll just have to plan another cruise to get there.
