jacketwatch
 Nothing has ever been taken from us thank God. I want to take a bottle of good spirits for in room use but at least on Princess you can buy some from them at a nominal cost. I will take a small elec. kettle and a French press to make my own coffee. Cruise coffee is not too good unless you pay more from the coffee bar if they have one.
schatje
We have been going for 14 days since the last two cruises so we take soda and buy more in port. We bought liquor from Princess to use in our room since it was a good price. We also brought along a small bullet blender to make afternoon smoothies since they have so much fresh fruit and you can order it through room service. JoeyandDavid
we dont take aboard as a normal ...however we may do so for europe...Celebrity permits you to bring wine aboard and does not charge you for corkage unless you open in the DR... I don't know their policy on sodas though...

DaCruzNut
I guess I'm the exception to the rule.... I'm not much of a soda, or alchohol, drinker, so I don't bring any beverages on board. I'm more than happy with Iced Tea and the fruit juices that are free....
Longboysfan
Just some Rum and beer.... Soda we replenish in port.
cruisingfun
Hi: If we are driving to the port (Galveston or Houston), we usually take some bottled water and Dr. Pepper. If we need to fly to Florida or the port of departure, then we buy the water at the first port of call and Dr. Pepper if they have it. St. Thomas does not sell Dr. Pepper for some strange reason. FrostyBoy64, my husband says nothing mixes with Dr. Pepper. What have you found that will mix with Dr. Pepper? Terry
sailingrose
I usually carry on a bottle of wine, something not available on the ship for sippng on the balcony. We also bring on a few small bottles of water to be refilled from the ship for tours, beach, etc. If DH wants soda we get it in the ports but usually lemonade and water are OK with him. Suzila
We don't drink alcohol, but I drink a lot of water and need my water with me. When we went to the Caribbean/Mexico, I packed bottles of water. This was the very first time our suitcase was over the 50 lbs. The woman at the desk asked me if I could re-pack a bit and move some of my 'clothes' to a different suitcase. I opened up the suitcase and it was full of water bottles. I just moved them to different bags. The woman asked me where the heck I was going that I needed sooooo much water! Ha ha!
