Yep, it's the Genesis project (not sure of they have actually named the ship yet). 220,000 tons and about 5400 pax, double occupancy.

When you get on the front of the ship in Miami you can go to the back of the boat and get off in Ft. Lauderdale.

The new ship, Leviathan of the Seas (the name has been changed to protect the innocent) was the subject of a hilarious thread on another cruise board. Both RCI and Carnival have under construction ships that will, during school vacations, have more than 6,000 PAX, plus about 2,000 crew. That's not a ship, it's a city; but if there were no demand for "biggest and newest", it wouldn't be built.

Some of the suggestions included:

a full size football field, with a full football game on Saturdays.

a auto racing track (not just an NCL simulator).

using aircraft carriers as tugboats.

using destroyers as tenders.

having helicopter service from one end of the ship to the other. Alternatives included people movers and horizontal elevators.

taxi service.

as noted by Longboysfan, having the bow in one port and the stern in another.

For me, the Freedom is way too big, and Genesis is obscene. Joe

I still have a hard time finding everything on the 70,000 ton ships. I'd spend the whole cruise looking for my cabin. Much too big for me

As long as I dont' take my wife with me to the mall, it might cost less than a cruise too. . .

Oh yes I have all ready been booked on the Genesis.

We Have 4 cabins on the Aft.

Deck 18

We were promised the best views.

Other than Deck 19 and 20 which are the Outer Place Diner

And the Two Hi Ski Slope Bar and Grill

I can't wait for the cruise

THEY DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT WHATS ON THE SHIP OTHER

THEN IT WILL BE 220,000 TONS AND HOLD 6300 GUESTS
