I also use the Carnival MC the same way as Jeff, basically like a debt card, and accumulated 50,000 points in the first year. Used it for a discount on our January cruise, paid for the rest of the cruise(for four of us) using the card and recieved 4X the points. I've yet to pay a dime in interest on it. Also the discounts from the points are good for other lines not just carnival!!!
