cruiseduo
Luckily we've never been sick. However, we hope the Mariner cures whatever was ailing those folks as we'll be there on 10/29.

TheSkipper
Hey Shari2, We remember those first couple of days out of San Diego on that Hawaii cruise very well. Both of Roe's sisters we sick on the first day at sea. One even managed to barf all over her husband. Roe grabbed them both and took them to the ship"s hospital were they received shots, took a nap, and they were fine for the rest of the cruise. Roe has been sea sick only once, and I've never had that problem. We are very careful when on board. Take Clorox wipes with us and go over everything in our stateroom, including the TV remote and telephone upon arrival. We bring a dispenser of hand wash for the stateroom and use all the hand sanatizers available all over the ship. Also try not to touch handrails, door knobs, etc. So far, no problems. lilrosie
I was really worried about getting seasick on our cruise ( i cant even watch my sons play their video games because of motion sickness) but I never had a problem.. The only thing that bothered me was the day we pulled out of port it was raining and the pressure was high and gave me a sinus headache..after about 20 mins it stopped and I never had a problem the rest of the cruise..Well I did get Seasick after the cruise...I got sick cuz I was having to leave the seas...lol
Shari2
Hi Ed...those were some nasty waves the first couple of nights out, for sure. I have never felt that queasy onboard before...started to once on a Mexican Riviera cruise, but never felt as bad as on the "Infinity" Hawaii cruise. We were at the bow of the ship, and it was rockin' and rollin'. LOL As soon as I started taking the Dramimine I started to feel better, though, and like your sisters-in law, I never had any more problems. Roe was very smart to take her sisters to the hospital to get a shot. I bring the Clorox wipes, too, and also a small bottle of Lysol, and the hand wash. I have to touch the handrails, though, with my luck I'd fall down the stairs if I don't hold on. LOL That was a fun cruise, though!
