Gregswife
Jackie, hope you get a chance to go down to the Public Market and watch them throw fish while you are Seattle. Also, a stroll down Fisherman's Pier makes for a nice time.

jacketwatch
 We stayed at the Hotel Vintage Park in downtown Sea. last yr. It is central and w/i easy walking distance of Pikes market, the tram station and the attractions downtown. Its described as a boutique hotel. Every room is decorated to match various vineyards in the area. We really enjoyed it. Cheers. Larry

zebra
Larry, Hotel Vintage Park is close to the Interstae I see. Do you hear traffic from the rooms? Also are there a variety of restaurants close by?
jacketwatch
 Actually if you had not said it was close to the interstate I would not have known because car and truck noise was not at all a factor. The location is pretty nice really. It is centraly located downtown and is w/i walking distance of many restaurants. There is a pretty nice restaurant in the hotel too which has very good breakfasts. Also its a short walk to the tram which you can use to go to the space needle. We ate there, you know the tourist thing to do and though the food and experience were good it was overpriced IMHO.
