U.S. delay of new passport regulations desired

I always think that if I have to wait too long, like for a rebate or something, I'll forget I'm waiting for it and then if it never arrives, I'll never even wonder where it is and then I'll think about it one day and then wonder "did I get it? or didn't I".

We also got them as soon as we heard they'd be necessary.

I heard that if you give your passports to the pursers office they will get them stamped in ports visited!
