elfed
Hi Folks, Another awkward question from the James book of Thought! What would be the three things you could/would improve on on today's cruise ships? For example: More swimming pools including an inside one More reasonable drink prices. Better cushioned deck chairs Improve the Pool Bands!! An additional Purser's desk at busy times. Two Lido decks for Buffets More/less games for families/adults/children Better coffee! Anyway Dear crazies see what you can come up with. No hurry!
sailingrose
Drink Prices for sure but especially the coffee needs improvement. Bigger bathrooms especially on Princess Grand class ships! You can do all three of the S's at the same time.
JoeyandDavid
for us I think 1)more loyalty benifits, 2)more hands on seminars, 3)all inclusive pricing
KeithnRita
1) More dance music with longer sets. 2) Bigger dance floors. 3) We don't think they will reduce drink prices so how about more drink specials.
Joanandjoe
1) Smaller ships with larger staterooms and bathtubs in every stateroom. 2) Better itineraries in early to mid November, the month when we have the most vacation time available. (There are far too many TransAtlantics, drydocks, and charters in November, making our choices very limited.) 3) All inclusive pricing. Suzila
I would add more storage room for suitcases and packed clothes in the staterooms. The storage on Royal Caribbean Vision of the Seas, oceanview room was not adequate. I packed for two people for a 7 day cruise and did not have enough room to hang things/store things in the drawers. In an inside cabin (specifically on Carnival, don't know about others), I'd add more electrical outlets. I'd also add more space on the sink counters to put items while you're getting ready. I don't need a bathtub...haven't taken a bath in years because I have arthritis and can't get in and out of a tub. The shower in the cabins is fine for me...as long as I don't gain any weight! (fat chance! ha ha!) I like the large ships, with lots to do onboard. I guess I'd say more activities for days in port, when those who have already visited that port don't want to spend time off the boat. lilrosie
I would definitely agree with more drink specials...the staterooms on Carnival were plenty big enough for hubby and I..I think they should do something about the kids and the pools and Hot Tubs...on our cruise we Never got into pool or hot tub because the kids were in it (including) the one for Adults..the Hot tubs were always full..I think more winners in Casino would be nice..And I am not a soda drinker,,,so Fresh Brewed Iced tea would be wonderful...I Hate the stuff that comes in the box..doesnt even taste like Tea.. I wanted to take my Iced Tea Maker but hubby would Not let me..thats All I drink is Tea ...and definitely Better Coffee..oh and 1 more thing..Bring back the Galley tour...we asked to tour it and they informed us they no longer do it because of safety issues.. avie
I have to agree with all of you -- the requested improvements are all nice and would add significantly to a cruise. However, all of these items are presently available -- for a price!!! I guess I will still have to decide what I want to pay, and then seek out the ships or cruise lines that offer the features that I deem most desireable (including itinerary). In short, "ya gets what ya pays fer." Perhaps I'm too cynical. Avie
