Imperial Majesty Cruise Line has completed the relocation of its headquarters from Pompano Beach to Plantation.

The new offices, at 4161 NW Fifth St., are closer to its base of operations at Port Everglades and offer a better backup power system for use after hurricanes.

"It's important for our staff to have quick and convenient access to the ship," said Imperial Majesty President Arthur Pollack.

Earlier this year, Imperial Majesty signed an agreement to offer cruises at the port through October 2010, in exchange for a preferential rate on port fees. It offers two-night cruises to the Bahamas.

>Online Vacation Centers Holding Corp., also in Plantation, has acquired a British publisher of consumer magazines and guides about travel to the United States and Canada. The firm, Phoenix International Publishing, has annual sales of $1.9 million. It was acquired in exchange for 1,450,000 restricted shares of Online Vacation common stock.

Among the titles Phoenix publishes is Essentially America, which has a distribution of more than 50,000, Online Vacation said. "The ability to market our cruise and travel packages to this population of travelers outside of the U.S. should provide an excellent opportunity to build our customer database and expand our sales," Online Vacation CEO Ed Rudner said.
