I told you guys I couldn't live without you!

A few hours after leaving Huatulco we hit very strong winds which have kicked up the sea. don't know the size of the waves, but as they hit the side of the ship they spray right up to the Promenade Deck (Deck 7) - so we're rockin' and a-rollin' tonight.

I really enjoyed Arts & Crafts and Bingo (not haven't won a thing yet!!!). We decided to do something different this evening and went to the Rhumba class.....what fun!! Tomorrow we learn the Salsa - woohoo!!

Again tonight we decided to stay casual and ate in the Horizon Court. Super menu of: Shrimp, Scallop & Fish Kebobs; Green Lipped Mussels on the half shell; Lamb Chops; Prime Rib Au Jus; Lamb Vindaloo (curry); Beef & Broccoli; Hawaiian Chicken and an assortment of vegetable and potato dishes. Of course there were numerous desserts but we had the Chocolate Bread Pudding.

We then took our coffee out on the top deck and watched the wild ocean, a nice change from the glassy ocean we've had since Seattle, it makes one realize that you're really on a cruise.

Tonight we're going to another comedian (can you tell this is our favorite entertainment??) His name is Richie Minervini and I'll report on him tomorrow. After the comedian we'll pop into the "Marriage Game" - but you know how those are once you've seen a few, they all seem to be same, same!!!

I think after breakfast tomorrow we'll probably actually do something mundane - like going to the laundromat - we need to wash quite a bit of clothing. We've already sent a few items to the laundry & dry cleaner on board, they did a great job we got them back the same day, but we've got socks, undies and all those type of things that are better washed by ourselves. Another great thing about Princess - the availability of the Laundromat, especially if you're on a long cruise.

Tony's really impressed with me - I haven't bought anything in the shops on this cruise....so I'm really being a good girl!! Of course I'm not stupid either  I know I've got another cruise hot on the heels of this one!!

Stand by for tomorrow report..... if you're not sick of me already?

Tomorrow is another sea day and our 2nd formal night. (We have 3 on this cruise). The following day we'll be in Puntarenas, Costa Rica.

Thought I'd give you all a bit of a break!

Well today we were in Puntarenas/Puerto Caldera - Costa Rica. Oh my goodness.........the best stop and the best tour by far!!! We took an all day tour called Costa Rica's Favorite's (not the best price at $199 pp BUT it was worth every cent if not more...shhhhh don't tell them!).

They picked us up in luxury busses (very luxury) and took us to a river that I can't pronounce, for a river boat ride. It was unbelievable, we saw more than a dozen crocodiles, the smallest being 12 ft long and we also saw 40 species of birds. When we were finished our cruise they had a buffet of fresh Costa Rican fruit awaiting us, fresh Coconuts, mangoes, pineapples (as sweet as syrup), bananas (one of their main exports) and watermelon - as well as their local icy cold beer, Imperial, and Water, Coke and Fanta. Here we also bought a good stash of Costa Rican Coffee.

We then boarded the bus again, YES YES Air Conditioning!!!! We travelled into the Rainforest - this took about an hour. On arrival there they had a buffet waiting for us for lunch - they wanted to make sure that we were going to eat in the same fashion as we had got acustomed to on the ship  !! After lunch we went for a 30 minute walk through the bottom of the forest canopy which is so lush it's unbelievable!! Very many Kodak moments at 3 different waterfalls, and the most beautiful Toucan, what a stunning bird!!! After the walk we got into a gondola which took us on a 45 minute tour of the top of the tree canopy of the forest right up to the top of the mountain - I can't explain in words how spectacular this was...just trust me it was SPECTACULAR!!!

After leaving the rainforest we got back into the bus for the ride back to the ship, they stopped at a small village, Santa Lucia for a bit of shopping at the same time as the torrential rain came down. A few people braved it and got out of the bus but we decided to stay high and dry. Whilst we were waiting in the parked bus, outside a hotel for this crazy group to come back, this huge swathe of muddy water washed down the steep road and flooded the hotel, restaurant and surrounding area. OMG we were quite concerned! They're not kidding when they say that they measure their rainfall in feet not inches. Our fellow passengers had to wade through this rushing, deep muddy river to get back to the bus - all I can say is thank the Lord that we were all safe and the the bus made it out up the very steep, washed away dirt road back onto the main highway. As our tour guide so smartly said, "what's a trip to the Rain forest without the rain?" Rain? This was a deluge!!

We have thoroughly enjoyed each and every port of call so far but Costa Rica (and apparently especially the Pacific side of the country) is wonderful and definitely needs to be returned to someday.

Well now I need to go take a nice warm shower - I just didn't want to miss the opportunity this evening to fill you in on yet another exciting day of our cruise.

No Jackie - we do NOT want a break. We are really enjoying your daily accounts and I feel bummed when there isn't one posted. It sounds like you are having a great trip. Any chance of free internet while you are on the Millineum????
