mercedes
Like Dan and Mebert, I put my tags on the night before, never lost a tag in all our years of traveling.
Gregswife
We always fly in the day before so we can spend a little extra time in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. Last time, our cruise was sailing from San Juan so we flew into Ft. Lauderdale the day before and rented a car. After we got there, we were saying we should have flown onto San Juan and spent an extra day there. Anyway, our plane from Ft. Lauderdale to San Juan was scheduled to land at 4:00 and the ship sailed at 10:00 p.m. - no worries, plenty of time. Our flight kept getting delayed and we did not land in San Juan until a few minutes after 9:00 and still had to wait on our luggage. We got in a cab at 9:20 and told the driver he would get a good tip if he got us there quickly. He did and there was absolutely no one in line at the check-in so we got thru quick. I thought they usually closed the check-in lines 30 minutes before departure, but there were people there working and no one said anything about us being late, but we did explain to them about our plane. From now on, we will make it a point to fly into the point of departure the day before. Oh, I think I got off track, I started out to say that since we always fly in the day before, I don't put my luggage tags on until we arrive at the hotel we will be staying at... elfed
Well as we normally fly in a day early, we attach the ship's tags the morning of embarkation at our hotel. Regards, James.
