PrincessOne
Sorry to hear of your troubles BigRed. I don't know how long the waitlist for early dining was but our group gave up 12 seats!!! We switched to anytime, to try something different. The only reasons they would keep your bed in twin configuration on the booking is 1. the TA didn't tell them Queen or 2. you have a 3rd or 4th person in your room. If it is the latter, you would have to tell the room steward. You can have the transfers removed at the pursers desk...but you shouldn't have to do it yourself. I know Stephs group is all getting big onboard credits...to help with their spending! Maybe more too, lol... Steph....those steaks sound great...but who the heck asked you to buy them? How about some wings? Think we can keep them warm for the ride down? I am so psyched...even though it is at 4:15! YUCK! Should we have Salad, ha ha ha ha...I hear our local grocery store has a great display. Have a great day everyone! D
cruisefreak
Yes- the store has a lovely display!! It is no problem for us to pick them up! What if we do wings in a crock pot and they are all cooked- so that they are still warm when we get there! YUM! I have a hot recipe that my cousin gave us- I think Steve even likes them...I'll have to find it. Do you want us to drive? WE can take the tahoe and have lots of room... BigRed- we do love our TA ! She has called for us so many times to change this or that or give us advice as to what to stay away from!!! If you want her number give me a yell! We are getting to where the time is moving so much faster! The 60's are screaming by! Stephanie PS- stay dry in the rain if you have rain!!
PrincessOne
It is raining and foggy here...occasional downpours...I would rather snow! (really, I would) Steph, it doesn't matter who does the driving...we would have to put Ally's booster in your car... I don't like hot wings! I like honey barbeque, lol...we will have to talk about the menu! Yes, definately cook them before we go...I have an inverter that plugs into the cigarette lighter and has two outlets for plugging normal things in!! I still have the headache that I woke up with... the caffeine didn't work, so I guess it will have to be Motrin... later... cruisefreak
yuck, I hate headaches! OOPS! I forgot about dropping off Ally! Guess we need to bring her along~! We could make some hot and some bbq or honey... Sara could watch Ally if you would rather too. Well, must go count the days! bigred
Thanks everyone for your replies. I will just have to bite the bullet and call my TA when I return next Monday from Milwaukee. Am visiting my best friend for the Josh Turner concert and alot of Christmas shopping. But I will make sure she takes care of those items as you both suggested. Who has the exact count of days? I get to subtract one because we go 1 day early. I am already saying my daily prayer: Please just get me out of here with good weather. Once I'm there I don't care. And we never care if we get back or not. Have a good noght all.
PrincessOne
have fun shopping! My countdown clock is set for the 19th, as we are going to get there on Friday! Our flight is at 7 or 7:30 in the morning.... Good luck with your changes.... Is anyone else putting money in their FCC for a future cruise? I have to bring all the information for the April 08 cruise...the group booking number, travel agency information etc. So much to bring, so little time to pack it..ha ha ha ha ha ha If this rain ever stops in New England...it will will a good thing. This is getting nuts! Where are you staying in Fort Lauderdale BigRed? D
cruisefreak
OK- rain's stopped! We have two more hours and then a week off!! I have stopped looking at Princess because that is not making the time go by any faster! Actually, it is going by too fast! I can't wait to get on board! bigred
Hi PrincessOne! We are staying at the Super 8 2 miles from port and 2 miles from airport. We don't normally stay at this chain so it will be interesting although others have said it is good (obviously not elegant LOL ). They have free shuttle to and from airport and port so it works for me. Also has breakfast. Pictures of the place look fine and it's really just for sleeping since we don't get in until midnight on Friday. I booked this quite a while ago and all of the hotels we would normally book were gone due to the Super Bowl. The return is another story since we are not flying out till Sunday. We are staying at the Bahia Mar Radisson in FLL, on the beach, and on the intracoastal. Two blocks from Las Olas. Our son is coming over from Sarasota to stay with us and our other son's in-laws live in Coral Springs and will be joining us for dinner at the River House. That is where we held PJ and HL's rehearsal dinner in Jan. of 04 so we will be doing some reminiscing. All in all we will have a great day to end our trip. We would rather never go home! Can't wait to move down to FL. Well, gotta eat supper after another full day of shopping. We found the warehouse sale for LANG going on and spent 3 hours there today. Then discovered a great new little coffee shop that blends a Packer Blend and a Badger blend. My husband will be thrilled. Have a peaceful night everyone. PrincessOne
LOL...There should be plenty of hotels...the Super bowl isn't til Feb. 4th... We were happy with our price, $111.20 plus tax, and have breakfast too. We rented a 15 passenger van for our crew, lol...should be interesting. I actually have to give back one room, as we only needed 5...I still have time to call...maybe next week...lol. Had a draining day today...now just trying to relax with a cup of tea...lol.. Glad you had fun shopping
